Fishing continues to be good on the East Cape, with some days being better than others.  The last few days have been very good for wahoo, with some boats landing up to 7 in one day.  The tuna fishing has slowed down a bit this week, with only a few anglers finding the schools.  The Fish and Chips tournament took place this Friday and the winning tuna weighed in at 56.5 lbs. by team Fintastik with angler Carl Sanders and his two boys.  The dorado have also been slow this week with only a few being landed, but we are starting to see a few larger dorado coming to the dock.  What hasn’t slowed down any has been the billfish.  We are still seeing good numbers on Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin and Sailfish.  Some days guests are hitting the triple crown by landing all three in the same day.  Something that was very difficult up until these last few weeks.  The weather is a very humid 90 degrees, with water temps. in the low 80’s.  The fishing is not wide open, but it has been good and seems to be improving each week.  Look for it to bust wide open in the next few weeks.  Hope to see you all down here soon.  That’s all for this week amigos.  Eddie Dalmau/Baja’s Van Wormer Resorts
