Fishing Report - 7-8-21

The fishing continues to be very good down on the East Cape!  We saw some up and down days, but still more up than down.  This week we saw some nice dorado come to the dock with the biggest weighing in at 50#.  There haven't been coming in any great numbers, but we are seeing some good size.  The marlin bite has also been very good these last few weeks, with many boats landing 5-10 billfish in a day.  The tuna bite slowed down a little bit, but only for a few days.  Once the fleet relocated the tuna schools, it was back on!  Mostly football size tuna, but we are seeing many boats coming to the dock with limits on yellowfin.

The nice Pargo you see here was landed by the world famous handliner Noe Ariza of the East Cape Smokehouse.  Noe fishes for pargo from the Palmas De Cortez dock as he waits for the boats to return for the day.  This was the first giant pargo for him of the season as well as from the new dock at Hotel Palmas De Cortez.
