It’s been a great start to the 2021 fishing season. Our first fishing group of the year The Reel News Amigos group arrived on May 10th. The fishing has been great ever since and continues to get better with each passing day. Right now you can expect water temperatures to be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s with air temps in the low to mid 80’s.

Fishing this week as been better than expected with the early arrival of the Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Wahoo and Sailfish. This added to our regular May visitors of Striped Marlin, Dorado, Yellowtail, Pargo, Jacks, Sierra and Roosters made for a very diverse month of May. All of the spices that are well known to the East Cape area seem to be making there way into the Sea of Cortez and anglers are having lots of fun with a wide variety to choose from. I’ve seen some beautiful fish dinners coming out of the Bay View and Umi Sushi restaurants as well as Smokey’s who have been busy processing and preparing their guests catch of the day.

We hope to see many of you this season, as it promises to be one of our very best ever. Reservations are filling up fast, so please book early when possible. Until next time amigos! Tight lines!
