FISHING REPORT

Hola Amigos,

The season is off and running down on the East Cape of Baja California Sur. It's only April and we are seeing plenty of bait in the water and more important we have sardines. Haven't had too many sardinas in the area the last few years, so this is a welcome site. Of course where there is bait there will be predators chasing them. Water temps are reaching 70-75 right now, so the conditions are getting right for a host of species. This week, as you can see from the pictures below, the fleet is on the tuna bite. Most of the tuna is down south of Los Frailes which is about an hour and a half run from Los Barriles. The tuna have been football up to 50lbs., all feeding on sardinas. We are also seeing a few wahoo in the area, as well as pargo, cabrilla, roosters and marlin. The winds have subsided and the weather is warming to a high in the low 80's. The conditions are perfect, so if you haven't made your plans to visit us, it time to get on the phone to book your next East Cape excursion! Hope to see you all soon!
