Fishing Report

10/10/14

Hola Amigos,

Well, things have finally started to get back to normal down on the East Cape.  The Los Cabos airport reopened on October 3rd, the first flights from the U.S. landed in Cabo on the 8th and have been arriving since the 3rd.  We had the Harwood Construction group arrive first, followed by the TL Hodge group and the Mcclean group two days ago.  All in All we have close to 60 people currently at the hotel and they are all enjoying some of the best fishing of the year.

Anglers have been enjoying an incredible wahoo bite that came out of left field.  Most boats are landing at least one wahoo per day, with others coming in with as many as 6 wahoo in a day.  This is the best wahoo bite we have seen all season.  The tuna bite has also been phenomenal this week, with mostly football size tuna being landed, but we are seeing a few in the 40# class.  Many boats are limiting out on tuna each day.  The dorado bite has also been great this past week.  This we expected to see, as usually after a storm we enjoy some great dorado fishing.  Again nothing too big, but we have seen a few in the 30# class.

Inshore we are seeing lots of Jacks, roosters, pompano and an early run of sierra.  There are lots of bait fish in the water very close to shore with predator fish right behind them.  This is a great time to visit the East Cape if you’re a fisherman.  With the airlines offering round trip tickets on certain flights for under $300 per person and the fishing being as good as it has been all season, this is the time to book your East Cape vacation with us.  Call our reservations office too book your trip today.  877-777-8862
